Magashi Peninsula Rwanda is one of the newest high-end safari stays in Akagera National Park. The camp opened in late 2025 on a private peninsula overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga, with the Mutumba Mountains rising beyond the plains. It was created for a very small number of guests and includes a villa and separate suites positioned for privacy. Each accommodation space has a private plunge pool, while the wider experience focuses on wildlife, lake views, Rwandan design and conservation. For travellers who want to combine mountain gorillas with a classic savannah safari, Magashi Peninsula adds a completely different side of Rwanda.
